Update from Provost Jim Clark on Sandels Building

Dear Sandels Building Colleagues and Students,

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue work in the Sandels Building. The project has reached the point where many technical pieces are being organized and outward activity may seem to slow. However, I’d like to reassure you of our attentiveness and dedication working toward the timeliest completion as possible.

The following progress has taken place since my previous update:

  • Pricing for the work in the basement and on the Dean’s suite envelope repair is awaiting contract finalization.
  • Selections pertaining to the final wall colors and the interior finishes for the corridor floors are being finalized this week.
  • The Facilities project manager is pursuing a final list of what equipment will be connected to emergency power support in the instance of an unplanned outage.

If you have questions that have not been addressed in an update, on the Sandels Response website or in the FAQs, please email sandelsresponse@fsu.edu, and we will answer your individual questions to the best of our ability.

Best regards,

Jim Clark
Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
