Update from Provost Jim Clark on Sandels Building

Dear Sandels Building Colleagues and Students,

I’m pleased to share this week’s update with you as we continue to work on the Sandels Building.

The following progress has taken place since my previous update:

  • Building envelope improvements near the Dean’s suite continue. Work will begin to waterproof the exterior wall once purchase order is issued.
  • Installation of the remaining new carpet for the second and third floors continues.
  • Pricing has been received to remove remaining specialty equipment from the basement.
  • Next week, the construction manager plans to start the bidding process for the construction to support the installation of the new HVAC air handling unit and fume hoods on the fourth floor. The new equipment is scheduled for delivery by mid-October.

If you have questions that have not been addressed in an update, on the Sandels Response website or in the FAQs, please email sandelsresponse@fsu.edu, and we will answer your individual questions to the best of our ability.

Best regards,

Jim Clark
Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
